Katherine D. Myers, PT, DPT, was selected to receive a 2024 Adopt-A-Doc award. The award recognizes her dedication to the profession of physical therapy and the education of physical therapists and physical therapist assistants. 

Third-year DPT students Natalie Hosmer and Miles Moore's independent study, "Effects of Ball Size and Weight on Throwing Kinematics and Kinetics in Youth Baseball Athletes," was recently published in the American Journal of Sports Medicine. 

A new study was published entitled “Optimization of a translational murine model of closed-head traumatic brain injury” in Neurological Research by Dr. Bradley Kolls in the Department of Neurology.

The Outstanding PT Student Award will be presented to DPT third-year Miles Moore at the Academy of Orthopaedic Physical Therapy’s (AOPT) Awards Ceremony during the Combined Sections Meeting in Boston, Mass on Friday, Feb. 16, 2024, at 6:30 PM.  This award is given to a student physical therapist and student physical therapist assistant (first professional degree) with exceptional scholastic ability and potential for contribution to orthopaedic physical therapy.

Jamie L. Greco, PT, DPT, EdD, Co-Director of Clinical Education: Coordinator of Faculty Development Residency; Assistant Professor in Orthopaedic Surgery, Core Faculty, has been appointed to serve as a member of the Academic Rigor Task Force within the American Council of Academic Physical Therapy (ACAPT). Her unique skills and background will complement the strengths of the organization's existing structure and enhance the overall effectiveness of ACAPT.  Congratulations!
